GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPE FOR STRESS

Having a diet high in antioxidants is important to combat the effects of stress on the body. If your part of our de-stress your life 4 week program we recommend that you aim for one green juice / smoothie per day to increase your vitamin and mineral uptake.
This smoothie also includes ashwaganda root powder which is a targeted herb for stress and anxiety reduction, and reducing cortisol levels.
- 2 1/2 cups almond milk
- ½ tsp of ashwaganda powder
- 2 cups spinach
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup pineapple chunks frozen
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Instructions
1. Place all the ingredients in a blender
2. Blend the ingredients in a high-speed blender for 2-3 minutes until you get a smooth and creamy texture
3. Taste the smoothie, adding more almond milk if it is too thick or adding a sweetener of choice if it's not sweet enough for you
4. Pour into a cup, and add fresh fruit toppings for garnish, if desired. You can also make into a smoothie bowl if you prefer.
